great property but small issue

Overall Comment

Beautiful new property. Well stocked with all the things you would need. We had an issue that the granite on the bench in the shower was not secured and it fell on my husband’s foot, causing injury. The maintenance man then chuckled when he saw my husband and said, and I quote I heard you took one to the foot. I would think they would have been a bit more apologetic as this was a large piece of granite and caused quite a large amount of pain for him.

the easiest family beach trip we've pulled off in years

Overall Comment

My wife and I brought our three kids (16, 15, and 12) down for a week, and this turned out to be one of the easiest beach trips we've pulled off in a while. The condo is immaculate inside — and not just "rental clean." The furniture has that modern Crate and Barrel / CB2 look, comfortable and fresh, and right down to the kitchenware, bakeware, glassware, and appliances it's all a clear step up. You can tell the owners sweated every detail.

The layout worked well for the five of us. My wife and I took the king and private bath in the master, the kids split the twin-over-twin bunks and the sleeper sofa in the living room, and nobody felt on top of anybody else. The private balcony overlooks the lagoon pool and lazy river, and that became our morning coffee spot and where we'd sit in the evenings.

The pool and lazy river are right there, and the kids basically lived in them — plenty of lounge space on the sun decks too. The in-unit washer and dryer was the unsung hero of the week. With five of us, running a load after a beach day meant we packed half what we normally would and came home without a bag of sandy laundry.

Location is tough to beat — about a ten-minute walk to the beach, or a two-minute drive if you're hauling chairs. You're close to most of what you'd want around Destin without sitting in the busiest part of it. We kept circling back to Mimmo’s Ristorante Italiano, Bosforo Mediterranean Restaurant & Bar, Paris Banh Mi (so good we went back a second time), and 2 Birds Coffee and Cafe in the mornings.

If you do one thing while you're here, book Destin Pontoon Charters and ask for Wendy. She took us out to Crab Island, and it was the highlight of the trip for all five of us. Worth every dollar.

We're already trying to figure out when we can get back.

the grove getaway

Overall Comment

Me and my daughter wanted to get away to the beach! This condo was warm and inviting.. smelled amazing! I like how the owner paid close attention to every little detail in the space and the decor is my style. I would definitely stay again and again! I can’t wait until next visit. We wished to have stayed longer! The walk to the beach was about 7 minutes and about a minute drive. This property is a new development so there is construction going on right now. We didn’t let that inconvenience us.. I’m sure when finished it will be an even greater addition that we will look forward to coming for a beach visit. The location is great.. tucked away off the main path to endless shops, attractions and restaurants.
